Education
I graduated from Briarcrest Christian High School in 1996. While working as a teacher assistant for Desoto County Schools, I decided to return to college to fulfill my dream of becoming a teacher. I graduated with Honors from The University of Southern Mississippi. My degree is a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I also have endorsements in Reading (K-12) , Social Studies (7-12), Special Education, and ESL. I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in Special Education from Mississippi College.
Experience
Prior to becoming a certified teacher, I worked as a teacher assistant for six years with Desoto County schools. I have experience working with grades K-8 as an assistant. I have taught second grade for 4 years and third grade ELA for one year. My heart has always been with Special Education students so I am very grateful for the opportunity to teach Special Education this year at such an amazing school.
