About the Teacher

My name is Anna Fortenberry, and 2023 begins my seventh year teaching - all have been here at CHES!

My husband, Cory, and I live in Southaven with our daughter, Ava Joyce, who was born in 2022. My stepson, Hayes, is in the seventh grade at Lafayette Middle School in Oxford MS. We will also be welcoming our new baby, Colson, in April 2024!

I can't wait to make music with your students!

Education

• University of Mississippi, 2017: Bachelors of Music Education, vocal emphasis, with a minor in English.
  • While at Ole Miss, I sang in the Women's Glee Choir, Concert Singers Chamber Choir, and the Ole Miss Opera Theater. I was also a member of the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College. 
• Auburn University, 2020: Masters of Education, emphasis in vocal music.
